Live Music Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston at Sixpenny Session
The Sixpenny Sessions team is very excited to announce that Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston, one of the most sought after duos on the English folk & roots scene, have agreed to play at their September session at Sixpenny Handley Village Hall, Common Road, Sixpenny Handley SP5 5NJ on Friday 4 September from 7.30 pm (doors open 7.00 pm). Tickets cost £10 (in advance) / £11.50 (on the door) and are available from Sixpenny Handley Mini Market, High Street, Sixpenny Handley or via www.eventbrite.co.uk (+ online booking fee). There will be food (£5 on the night) and a bar. All profits go towards the Sixpenny Handley and Pentridge Community Fund.

Exhibitions Salisbury Contemporary Craft and Heritage Festival
Salisbury Contemporary Craft and Heritage Festival showcases the rich and vibrant heritage of Salisbury by sharing the skills of local and UK design and craft makers through various activities including heritage talks in the Talk Tent, contemporary and heritage workshops, tours of the cathedral and participatory activities for all ages.
Salisbury’s Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival aims to become one of the largest and most prestigious festivals of its kind in the UK, showcasing both contemporary crafts and heritage skills.
The Festival takes place on the West Lawn within the grounds of Salisbury’s medieval Cathedral, which attracts over 2,000 visitors each day. The Close around the cathedral is home to some 400 residents as well as to Arundells, the former home of the late Sir Edward Heath, and a number of Museums and National Trust properties.
Salisbury Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival is a charity event run with any surplus proceeds going to local causes, predominantly relating to arts, craft and heritage.
