Exhibitions Contemporary Sculpture at Mompesson House - Material Connections across the Ages
This exhibition looks at connections between contemporary sculpture and the historic objects, funishings and architechtural fabric of this Queen Anne house. It explores the evolving story of how creative imaginations and the skilled touch of hands working with expensive or low value materials have shaped lives and the look of this house across the centuries. It features pieces made from wood, paper, glass, clay, metal, stone and textile. It includes work by Elisabeth Frink and Peter Randall-Page. The exhibition is association with The Veronica Stewart Arts Trust.

Michaelmas Goose Fair
The church will be filled with a variety of stalls selling a wide range of beautiful local crafts and jewellery, vintage items and delicious home-cooked and home-grown produce. There will also be an exhibition of prisoners’ art (by The Burnbake Trust), with items for sale; a raffle and a bottle tombola; and games for the children. Refreshments, including light lunches, will also be served. There is something for all the family.

Outdoor Events Tisbury Chocolate Festival and Carnival Day
This Saturday will see Tisbury's traditional Carnival Day with processions at 3.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. This year, we will also be hosting our first ever Chocolate Festival!! We have lots of fabulous stalls coming, Jumparoo for the kids plus crafty workshops as well as music in the square. Fun starts at 2.30 p.m. Come and join the fun!!

Outdoor Events The Horatio's Garden Chalke Valley Cycle Ride
Cyclists are being urged to sign up for a bike ride through the stunning Wiltshire countryside and raise funds for Horatio’s Garden at Salisbury District Hospital. The ride will take place on Sunday 21st September and will start and finish in Horatio’s Garden. There will be plentiful tea and cakes and music. Riders’ families and friends are welcome to come along to support.

With options of 50 miles, 25 miles or one mile this could be the perfect summer fitness resolution for people of all ages and fitness levels. The ride will take in some of Wiltshire’s most beautiful scenery through the Chalke Valley and will include a few gentle hills for those who like a challenge!

A one mile course around the grounds of Salisbury District Hospital will be a great opportunity to celebrate accessible cycling. A range of hand bikes will be available to try throughout the day. All are welcome for this free ride.

The event will be organised and fully supported by Discover Adventure. Registration for the 25 and 50 mile routes costs £35 per person. Riders must be 14 years old or over and groups of up to six 14-17 year olds must be accompanied by one adult. Registration for the one mile route is free.
