Exhibitions What do Quakers do in wartime?
A special exhibition on display in Salisbury Cathedral will help to answer that question. The Quaker Service Exhibition tells the story of the Friends Ambulance Unit and the Friends Relief Service during both World Wars. It includes factual accounts, images and human stories about the help given by Friends, beginning with the Irish Famine in the 1840s to the present day.
The exhibition, which runs until 31 October, is located in the St. Laurence Chapel and is open during normal Cathedral hours.
Salisbury Quakers will hold a Meeting for Worship to mark Quaker Week 2014 in the Trinity Chapel of the Cathedral on Sunday, 12 October at 3 o’clock. Anyone is welcome to take part and experience the Quaker way of worship.
