Bingo and Quizzes The Magic of the Musicals
The After Dinner Eight, a group of 5 singers and 3 musicians, are part of the Dunn Valley Singers. They are performing songs from the musicals in our village church to raise funds for the church. Salisbury Business Bake Off
The first Salisbury Business Bake Off is coming to Salisbury on 7th October in aid of Morning Star, Clevah and Salisbury Rotary Charities.

Salisbury businesses will be demonstrating their baking skills by bringing in their baked treats to sell to raise money for these excellent local causes.

Mad Muddy Challenge
Mad Muddy is a 7.5km obstacle challenge through the lush countryside of Wallmead Farm, Tisbury SP3 6RB. The aim is to finish the course, we don’t care who comes first. Completion is the aim, helping others is the game.

Community arts weekend with Test Valley Arts Foundation
A weekend full of creative activities, celebrating 25 years of the Test Valley Arts Foundation.

Join drop-in arts and craft sessions throughout the weekend. Decorate small copper panels with artist Ruth Facey, and take part in land art sessions using found materials from around the grounds. There'll be other artist-led activities over the weekend for you to try.

Making The World A Better Place
This event is a Day Conference organised by the South West Region on NWR a long established national organisation for women. The principal speaker is the very well known Anthony Grayling who has written an edited over 30 books on philosophy and other subjects and is a frequent broadcaster on BBC Radio. The other highly respected speakers are Alison Kelly, Head of Policy at Christian Aid and Marion Molteno who is a writer and has acted as an advisor for Save The Children in many of the poorest areas of Asia and Africa.

Live Music A Village Harvest Charity Concert
A rare opportunity to be transported back in time will take place at All Saints Church, Minstead on Saturday 8th October at 7.pm.

‘A Village Harvest’ will be staged by The Madding Crowd, a local group established in 1975, who research and perform in costume, songs, hymns, dances and poems collected from C17th-C19th village manuscripts and books.

The concert blends music and words to create the atmosphere of the old church bands. The music is often sung in wonderful four part harmony, and is close to traditional or folk music. It promises to be a lively, amusing and informative evening.

The event is being held to raise funds for Minstead Training Trust’s 30th anniversary appeal. Established in 1986, the Trust works with over 150 people with learning disabilities, providing practical training in life skills, work-based skills and health and wellbeing from its base in Minstead, nr Lyndhurst.

Tickets for the event cost £10 including refreshments Audience participation including wearing costume is positively encouraged!
