Help For Heroes

The charity single 'Hero' by the X Factor Finalists has become one of the biggest-selling singles of the decade.  

 

Proceeds from the Mariah Carey cover will be divided between the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal and Help For Heroes, a Tidworth based charity established to support wounded servicemen and women.  

 

The charity was set up in October 2007 by a Downton couple - Bryn Parry and his wife Emma and is based in Tidworth.

 

It was set up to help wounded servicemen and women injured in Afghanistan and Iraq and since its launch just over a year ago its raised over £12 million.

 

Jeremey Clarkson, James Blunt and Anneka Rice are amonst the patrons
