Our Company has been trading successfully for 16 years serving Restaurants, Public Houses, Hotels, Schools and Nursing/Caring Homes around South Wiltshire and West Hampshire.

For the first time in 16 years, Paul Young is now letting their doors open to the public, offering a range of meats for day to day cooking - be it for hosting a banquet or party requiring guinea fowl or a chicken for a family meal. Whatever your requirements, we can supply and even vacuum pack at your request.

We have fully refrigerated vehicles with a 5 day delivery service.

However, we as a Company understand that everyone’s requirements are different. Therefore, we will listen to your requests and prepare your goods to your own ‘Personal Specification’. Our Premises

We have a purpose built unit for meat preparation and storage which boasts a ‘Chilled Temperature’ cutting area. This will ensure the cold chain is kept from our supplier to you, which minimises the risk of any form of contamination.

Our unit has been designed along with the Head of the local E.H.O and not only meets their needs but exceeds their expectations in many ways. We also have an up and running HACCP plan to ensure everything in monitored and checked.

Packing (Vacuum Packed)

There are many advantages of Vacuum Packing. Vacuum Packing severely retards the growth of bacteria. This gives the meat an extended shelf life. Vacuum Packing provides you with heat-seal bags and this gives protection against blown or punctured bags. The Environmental Health Office favours Vacuum Packing as blood dripping out of bags or exposed raw meat, as we all know, can be harmful.

It is because of the principals mentioned above that we, at Paul Young’s - Catering Butcher, supply all products in Vacuum-sealed packaging.

Shelf Life

All products will carry a Use-by Date for ease of stock rotation and to ensure the best quality.

Labelling

Lack of knowledge can result in mistakes, loss of product and therefore loss of money. Therefore labelling is important to the untrained eye. This means you can rest assured that the meat you want is the meat you get and should you freeze your meat at home you can easily identify so no surprise will arise.

Specification

There is a Standard Specification with regards to the dicing and trimming of all our meat cuts. Nevertheless, as mentioned before, your Personal Specification can be dealt with and strictly adhered to.

Deliveries

All vans are fully refrigerated and are sterilised in our transportation area. We currently offer a 5 day a Week delivery service.
