We are a family run business and take particular pride in creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all our customers. Located only 2 minutes walk from the Market Place, the Avon Brewery is a traditional pub with the added bonus of a large restaurant and function room, riverside garden and full disabled access and facilities. Our chef Steve has over 15 years experience in the restaurant trade and he produces a wide range of excellent, freshly prepared dishes. The menu includes a varied selection of traditional, affordable pub meals to suit all tastes. Our "Specials" change daily and include dishes ranging from Braised Lamb Shank to Whole Plaice and, on occasions the more exotic Kangaroo and Ostrich steaks for the more adventurous customers. Our food is cooked to order both at lunchtimes (12-2:30 pm) and during the evening (6-9pm). On Sunday lunchtime (12-3pm) we offer an extra choice of traditional roasts. We keep an award winning selection of real ales that are all cask conditioned. We look forward to welcoming you for either a business or family lunch or a relaxing evening in a traditional pub atmosphere.
