16th May 2017, 24 hour 1000 mile wattbike challenge,
As a serving members of the Royal Corps of Signals, we would like use this event to raise funds for our charity, the Royal Signal Benevolent Fund (RSBF) so they can help others by providing help when it is needed.

Life has a habit of throwing unexpected challenges - bereavement, mobility issues, premature babies, physical, psychological and emotional difficulties - to name but a few, as you know. You never know what’s round the corner; indeed recently one of our service families had a baby boy, Thomas, born with Microcephaly Lymphedema Chorioretinal Dysplasia, an extremely rare condition. Baby Thomas has a small head, visual impairment and lower limb restrictions; the extent of his needs are not yet known. Baby Thomas’s family haven’t needed to seek help from the RSBF yet but they say it’s good to know the RSBF is there for them if needed.

As fit members of the Armed Forces, four serving soldiers have set ourselves a challenge of riding 1000 miles over 24 hours on just 2 Wattbikes (Stationary bikes) outside the Guildhall, Salisbury on Saturday-Sunday 0900 hrs to 0900 hrs, 20-21 May 2017.
