Live Music Christmas in Downton
Downton Band will be presenting a Grand Christmas Concert on Saturday December 16th. And the 144-year-old band will be joined by the Downton Community Choir for a festive evening of carols and traditional Christmas fare in the beautiful setting of St Laurence during the church's Christmas Tree Festival.

Downton Band’s Musical Director said “We are very much looking forward to this concert and to once again performing with the brilliant Downton Community Choir. There will be something for everyone during the evening with a wide variety of music from traditional carols, classical arrangements and several items when band and choir will come together to make a glorious sound.”

Downton Community Choir’s Musical Director Kate Edgar said ”We are thrilled, once again, to have been invited to sing with Downton Band.We are looking forward to a wonderful festive concert - always a highlight in Downton's musical calendar"

The concert is being held at Downton’s St Laurence Church on Saturday December 16th at 7.30. Tickets cost £10 (Under 16’s £7.50) and are available on the door, from the Cottage Loaf and the White Horse or online via Wegottickets.com

Buckland court in Amesbury are holding a Christmas Fete on the 16th December 14:00 – 16:00
We will have entertainment, tombola, cake stalls, and other stalls, a raffle

Live Music The Farrant Singers' Christmas Concert
The Farrant Singers, conducted by Andrew Mackay, are joined by Farrant brass for their Christmas concert on Saturday 16th Decmber at 7.30pm in St. Martin’s Church, Salisbury. They will be giving a performance of John Rutter's thrilling 'Gloria' and two pieces by Gabrieli, 'In ecclesiis' and 'Omnes gentes plaudite manibus’. Enjoy joining in the singing of carols and Handel's Hallelujah chorus. A truly joyous event!

Forsaken Guardians MCC Toy Run Julia’s House
Forsaken Guardians MCC are collecting toys for children and their siblings using Julia’s House Children’s Hospice Devizes for their Christmas Party. Toys need to be new and packaged due to infection risk and no more than £10 in value. We will ride in convoy to attend their party and the presents we’ve collected will be given out by Santa!

National Lottery Thank You
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust has been fortunate enough to receive funding from the National Lottery. This has allowed us to make significant improvements to our reserves, including Langford Lakes.

Live Music Christmas Carol Concert
The Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir and Army Medical Services Band will be performing individual carols and coming together on some well-known classics that are guaranteed to fill the Museum halls with an audible festive treat!
The Museum Carol Concert is free to attend and aims to raise money for the future of the Museum and attending charities through donations on the night. Expect mince pies, mulled wine, Christmas cheer and some outstanding choral music.
