New Business Account Manager

To increase sales for the Company. To work with the Head of Business Development on a coordinated strategic scheme to increase sales and add value to the company.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Seek introductions/contacts with potential new customers.
  • Field new business/sales enquiries and capture requirements.
  • Generate new clients of interest to Cecence via provided and self-sourced leads.
  • Estimating and tendering of quotations to client.
  • To constantly look for new sales opportunities, especially where the company technology/expertise could be used in a new and scalable manner.
  • Make regular sales visits (normally driving or by train) or arrange on-site meetings to generate sales, primarily to new customers. Utilise Cecence Directors in the process where appropriate.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences and make presentations where opportune.
  • Work closely with Head of Business Development to follow and feedback on company coordinated business development strategy.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an understanding of Cecence products and services.
  • Carry out market pricing research on proposed parts.
  • Accurately and promptly complete the administration stages of the company sales process.
  • Use company CRM system to track and progress sales.
  • Attend and update notes for weekly sales meeting.
  • Help generate original marketing material.
  • Provide feedback on the Business Development Strategy and sales activity and to ensure marketing efforts are coordinated with a sales focus.
  • Support a strong brand image.
  • Use (and contribute to if called upon), company stationary for a standardised and consistent company image and portrayal of the company brand.
  • Carry out regular multi-platform communications with clients (especially requires good telephone manner).
  • Set objectives/targets for Sales Orders with project managers as they become live.
  • Oversee signed projects and potentially liaise with client with updates if appropriate.
  • Assist workshop for assembly or manufacture of parts on jobs where required.
  • Maintain sales data and centralised sales data storage.
  • Other duties as directed by Company Directors.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Be a motivated, dynamic, ambitious and self-driven individual who is confident and professional in approach.
  • Possess strong interpersonal manner capable of making meaningful customer relationships through enthusiasm, personable manner and product knowledge.
  • Ability to work within a tight-knit team with a coordinated approach to increasing company sales.
  • Be a bright, quick-thinking individual who can “join the dots” on new enquiries to develop a commercial prospect for the company.
  • Have the ability to seek out and speak with the B2B decision-makers to scope out the size of the opportunity and help impress how Cecence would be beneficial to them.
  • Have excellent MS Office skills (Primarily Excel & Powerpoint) noting that the sales estimating tools are heavily dependent them.
  • Maintain a positive, determined, out-going but resilient manner with an ability to push through long term opportunities.
  • Possess good discipline and time management skills in order to meet EOI and ITT deadlines.

DESIRABLE:

  • A background of, or a basic understanding of, composites would be very advantageous to help make connections with customers, but a lot of Cecence’s technology is novel and new, so a lack of prior composite experience could be overcome by being a quick learner and being able to absorb information.
  • A background of, or a basic understanding of, engineering principles would be very advantageous to help make connections with customers, but a lack of engineering experience could be overcome by being a quick learner and being able to absorb technical information.
  • A strong numerical and problem-solving mindset.
  • An understanding of a CRM system.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Good commercial awareness.

Between £30,000 and £40,000 Per Annum
