We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Hostel Warden to help take responsibility for the up-keep & general running of a 14 room Hostel.

Split shifts are offered on a variable contract, requiring some mornings (usually 8am-12pm and 5pm-9pm). The suitable candidate would ideally have experience of working in and/or travelling in hostels, throughout the world and/or the UK. Daily duties may include: cleaning, checking guests in/out, serving on the bar, light cooking duties (breakfasts, packed lunches & some evening meals) and utilising and updating various online booking services, checking emails etc. All applicants must be: Somewhat experienced in working within the Hostel or tourism/hospitality industry Experienced with working with customers Quick to learn new skills Well organised Good at working with computers and online booking systems (full training will be given) Hard working in all capacities Able to work independently and self motivate, as well as being a supportive and flexible member of the team Duties will include (but will not be limited to): Assisting in taking responsibility for the up-keep and running of fourteen-room Hostel (70 bunkbeds) which will include, the daily cleaning The receipt and checking-in of guests Helping to oversee bookings About us: We at Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm have an exciting vision to move and improve our offering! The aim is to diversify into providing a quality family, outdoor-based experience, anchored by a commercial vineyard producing premium English sparkling wine at one end and a farm park experience at the other. The geographical position on the glorious Wiltshire and Hampshire border with fantastic facilities on-site, also enable the farm to offer a unique location for events, such as weddings. The Hostel on-site currently provides overnight accommodation, and this will also be developed over-time, to offer a boutique, farm-stay B&B. Cholderton Hostel is one of the first enterprise hostels starting as a bunkhouse in 2003 with 22 beds. Now a newly built wing attached to the original farm cottages providing 70 youth hostel beds at a 4* grading. Situated on a farm park where we conserve the rare breed farm animals loved by all, close to Stonehenge and Salisbury, this hostel is loved by families and groups alike.

Between £6.20 and £8.50 Per Hour
Hourly rate dependent on relevant experience
