We are looking for a creative, energetic, dynamic and experienced full time Front of House, Cafe & Gift Shop Team Leader (for maternity cover up to one year)to join our team!

The suitable candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate, reliable and have some relevant experience of working in a hospitality and catering environment. We are a family-run business looking for new Team Leader to start working with us as soon as possible. We are a farm tourist attraction, with an on-site Kitchen, Café & Bar as well as a second seasonal café/takeaway bar and events kitchen.

Having worked in a similar or relevant setting, the successful candidate will take pride in high-levels of customer service and being experienced in front-of-house and /or shop management you exhibit a passion for high standards of team-management, customer service and commercial flair.

Responsibilities Include:

1) Maximising the Sales and Profitability of the Gift Shop through the following:

  • Demonstrating merchandise flair, making the shop aesthetically pleasing and current
  • Fulfilling the stock control process and assisting with purchasing decisions
  • Managing EPOS reporting and systems and operating basic computer skills

2) Championing Front of House Customer Service

  • Delivering genuine, professional and friendly customer service throughout

3) Team Management and Motivation

  • Manage and motivate a small team of full time and part time front of house staff

4) Implementing Operational, Health & Safety Standards

  • Policies and operational procedures adhered to
  • Staff are consistently presentable and pride in standards are operated

5) Supporting Events

  • Supporting and assisting events on the farm

Experience, Qualifications, Skills:

Front of House and/or Shop supervisory/management experience – at least one year

• Good standard of education and qualification
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
• Approachable, personable and friendly
• A passion and flair for presentation
• Sales focused and commercial sense
• Drive for high operational standards
• Passion for creating remarkable customer experiences

Competitive salary awarded to the right candidate. The position is full-time (around 40 hours per week) which flexes with the season. As we are a visitor attraction, you will be required to work weekends and during the school holidays on a rota basis. Due to our beautiful (but remote) location, you do need your own transport.

The aim is to diversify into providing a quality family, outdoor-based experience, anchored by a commercial vineyard producing premium English sparkling wine at one end and a farm park experience at the other.

The geographical position on the glorious Wiltshire and Hampshire border with fantastic facilities on-site, also enable the farm to offer a unique location for events, such as weddings. The Hostel on-site currently provides overnight accommodation, and this will also be developed over-time, to offer a boutique, farm-stay B&B.

Between £16,000 and £18,000 Per Annum
Salary dependant on experience and qualifications
