We are supporting a Portsmouth based manufacturing company with the recruitment of a Quality Assurance and Administration Manager.

In this newly created role as the QA and Administration Manager you will be providing clear direction and motivation to support the team regarding appropriate principles, standards and priorities. You'll have experience of coaching and hold regular team meetings to communicate overall performance.

You will be working with the Business Manager to explore support options to ensure performance to expectation. · and be hands on efficient in systems and procedures of administration, providing cover and support in busy periods and during staff holidays.

As the Quality Assurance and Administration Manager you'll be scruitinising reports to ensure that batch details and gross profit reporting is correct, investigating stock discrepancies and variances through the year, managing the reconciliation of the annual stock check & validations reports. You will need clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills to be able to resolve administration discrepancies between the warehouse and sales departments. 

A large part of your role as the QA and Administration Manager will be to document and report non conformance issues to suppliers and oversee rejections, instigating effective corrective action and conducting internal audits of the Business QMS Processes.

Other duties will include:

Validate incoming supplier’s EN10204 certification and endorse documentation accordingly, as required.

Ensure test certificates are scanned and indexed onto the document server 

Carry out final inspections on all materials supplied under ASEN 9100/20 approval.

Ensure that all non-conforming material on site is suitably identified and placed into quarantine to ensure unintended use or re-supply. 

Communicate with Purchasing, Admin, Warehouse and Sales departments regarding any quality and technical issues so that these can be resolved in the shortest time possible.

Take ownership in responding to and resolving customer complaints and rejections, when relating to Quality and technical issues.
