Helping the vulnerable

« Back

Our Emergency Dept has been overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us by the City of Salisbury and surrounding areas in recognition of the unprecedented times we are working in. However we as a team are seeing vulnerable patient groups going home who are isolated, unable to access shops/supplies, carers who can’t get their weekly shops etc due to the current climate. We wanted to give something back to these people. We are asking family, friends, neighbours to help us in donating items so that we could at least send a vulnerable individuals home with some survival items. We want to put together bags that contain some of the following essentials;

A toilet roll
A bar of soap
Tinned soup
A pack of biscuits
A carton of long life milk
Teabags
Sugar
Jam
A small loaf of bread
A box of cereal
A small little treat like a bar of chocolate

If you can donate anything there are going to be collection points in Salisbury A&E reception.
If we are overwhelmed with supplies we will provide bags to wards discharging patients and other community organisations / foodbanks. Thank you.
