Supressing Slavery in Victorian times and combatting Slavery now supporting Anti-Slavery International

About:
David Baker, the Great Great Grandson of the Victorian Explorer Sir Samuel Baker, will be talking about British Involvement in Slavery, the Anti-Slavery movement and Sir Samuel Baker's expedition to supress the odious slave trade along the Nile in the 1870s. David will be followed by Robert Key, formerly the MP for Salisbury, who will conclude the talk with an insight into the extent of Slavery in the present day. This illustrated talk promises to be stimulating and challenging and is sure to provoke a lively discussion.
Proceeds will go to support Harnham Parish Churches and there will be a collection for Anti-Slavery International after the talk. A licenced bar will open at 7 pm
