"Secret Spitfires" Film supporting Stapleford Village Hall

Director and Producer Ethem Cetintas presents a special screening of ‘The Secret Spitfires,’ an inspirational film that relates the heroic role played by the people of Salisbury in the undercover manufacture of Spitfire aircraft at a crucial point during World War II. They built thousands of Spitfires hidden in sheds, garages, bus depots and a hotel, but nobody ever knew. Renowned local historian and former Spitfire engineer Norman Parker, who as a young man was an engineer in the final assembly plant, will be on hand to field questions after the screening. Limited seating so on a first-come, first-served basis with tickets on the door.
