PART OF OUR FRAGILE HOME:
FESTIVAL OF IDEAS

In the 1980s, key films such as Threads and When the Wind Blows helped shift public opinion and galvanise the political will that led to a de-escalation of the nuclear arms race and the end of the Cold War. A panel including, Iain Harvey (producer of When the Wind Blows), Lizzie Minnion (Postcard Productions) and Yves Degryse (Artistic leader of Zvizdal) will discuss the ability film has to engage emotion and impact political and social debate.
