RSPB – RSPB Rainham Marshes supporting RSPB

About:
Rainham Marshes is an RSPB nature reserve to the east of London, adjacent to the Thames Estuary in Purfleet, Thurrock and the London Borough of Havering. It has maintained much of its Medieval landscape, and is the largest area of wetland on the upper parts of the Thames Estuary.

Extensive habitat management of this former MOD land supports 155 pairs of breeding waders, wintering waterfowl, water voles, grass snakes & scarce bumblebees. Reserve Manager Andrew Gouldstone will explain how this transformation was achieved.

There will also be refreshments, Christmas Draw, RSPB Sales Goods, Home-made Preserves, Bird Food, Books and Tombola with proceeds to RSPB Conservation Projects.
