Re-chalking Alton Barnes White Horse in the Pewsey Vale

About:
PEWSEY VALE WHITE HORSE GETS ‘WHITER!
THE FINAL PHASE!
On the 29th of July 46 tonnes of pristine white chalk was delivered onto the Alton Barnes White Horse in the Vale of Pewsey by an RAF Chinook helicopter from the Joint Helicopter Command. 7 tonnes of chalk were spread by a band of volunteers, until daylight stopped any further re-chalking on that day. The remaining 39 tonnes needs to be distributed evenly over the White Horse to complete the project, and so a call for more Volunteers is now required. The final phase will commence at 10:00 on the 10th of August 2019, and both Volunteers and the Media are welcome to attend to participate, and capture the final act in this historic process.
Further details can be obtained from either Rob Sutherland on 07511 418649, or Steve Napier on 07881 818988. Photographs and videos will also be available.
