The chalets in the Guildhall Square have been ranked highly by Ideal Home magazine.

The rundown on top Christmas markets across the continent sees Prague in the Czech Republic and Rudesheim in Germany coming out on top.

But Salisbury's appeared in third place, on the home decorating magazine's list and is described as being 'best for local British produce'.

On the Ideal Home website, they've explained more about why they've picked the city's Fayre:

"Against a backdrop of the historic 18th-century Guildhall, this year's Christmas market in Salisbury will host more than 40 exhibitors in decorated chalets. Inspired by the best of traditional European markets, Salisbury Christmas Fayre adds its own uniquely British element. Most of the goods on offer are made locally, from designer crafts to festive decorations and speciality foods. Also enjoy mulled wine, continental sausages and gingerbread."
