New guide launched to show us where the city's Indies all are - and encourage us to use them!

There are 50,000 copies of the new Salisbury Indies Pocket Guide now available.

More than 150 businesses within the city centre are featured within it, split into 4 categories - retailers, food/drink/accommodation, health & beauty and entertainment.

We can pick one up from any of Salisbury's independent businesses, as well as from the city's Information Centre, the train station and all of the Salisbury's Park and Ride sites.

Susi Mason, Chair of Salisbury Indies and owner of Casa Fina, said:

"The Salisbury Indies Pocket Guide showcases the abundance of independent businesses that Salisbury has to offer. Many people want to shop local and support independent businesses, but sometimes it's not always that easy to understand which businesses are independent. We hope this new pocket guide will help people to choose independent businesses more easily.

"We're grateful to the BID for their support with Salisbury Indies; without their funding and resource we wouldn't be able to deliver promotional projects like the pocket guide."

Within the guide, there's a special loyalty card for us to use when going into Salisbury's indies.

Collect 9 stickers from any of the independent businesses listed and you can enter a prize draw for a £50 Salisbury Gift Card.

Four prize draws will be held per year.

The group represents more than 150 businesses across the city centre, and it's led by a committee of people from those companies.

Salisbury BID provides Salisbury Indies with financial and operational support.

Kara Rogers, Marketing & Communications Manager of Salisbury BID, said:

"We have so many independent businesses in the city centre, offering high quality services and products, who play such a huge part in Salisbury's unique offer as a destination. Creating this pocket guide is a great way to proudly showcase them."
