The life-saving helicopter service is calling for people to do the Bath Half Marathon 2020 for them.

The charity had supporters taking on the event for a number of years, but the next one will take on an extra special meaning.

The Bath Half is scheduled for 15th March 2020 - that's 30 years to the day since Wiltshire Air Ambulance was formed.

Kenresa Stratford, events co-ordinator for Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said:

"The Bath Half Marathon is always a popular event in our calendar and it's extra special in 2020 given that it falls on the day of our 30th birthday.

"We'll have plenty planned to celebrate the occasion and we're hoping to have a bumper number of runners on the start line donning the yellow and green of our charity."

The county's Air Ambulance has to raise £3.75 million a year to keep the service operational - that's the equivalent of £10,000 every day.

The Bath Half alone has brought in more than £110,000 to the charity in the last five years.

Anyone that might want to take part in the event in 2020 for WAA can sign up now.
