The team behind Ed Dibbles at the Park are bringing all their global street food knowledge back home for us to enjoy.

The cafe, on the corner of Salt Lane next to the Greencroft, has been run by the Hunt family for the last few months.

But now, they're looking to get more of us enjoying what they have to offer.

Their menu takes inspiration for all over the world - from Italy to Morocco; the US to India; and from Vietnam to Mexico, with the Best of British mixed in.

The New Orleans Po Boy is a popular addition to the menu - crispy fried spicy prawns, with lettuce, tomato & homemade Cajun dressing, served in a toasted brioche sub roll

The cafe's open from Tuesday to Saturday between 11.00am and 4.30pm.

There's space to eat-in of a lunchtime, but everything served is available for takeaway too.

They can take corporate or office orders, with 24 hours notice, plus they've got a children's menu and Saturday brunch offering.

Keta Hunt from Ed Dibbles explains that the idea for the business came from Mum and Dad, Lorna and Simon:

Once a month, the cafe also hosts evening Supper Clubs, taking diners on a culinary journey to a different place each time.

So far, they've 'been' to the Caribbean, Sri Lanka and Brazil, with a specfic aim to pick places where there isn't already a chance to sample that cuisine within Salisbury.

Places at the Supper Clubs are £25 per person, and you can bring your own drinks.

You can book places by emailing or calling 01722 333757.

With the increasing focus on knowing where our food originates and cutting carbon emissions, Ed Dibbles is focussed on shopping local.

Ed Dibbles Mumbai Disco Eggs
The Mumbai Disco Eggs are set to become a regular feature on their brunch menu

They're supporting local producers where possible:

  • fruit and veg from Salisbury Charter Market
  • bread from Henderson's on Oatmeal Row
  • eggs from Fluffetts in Fordingbridge
  • coffee from Fisherton Warehouse and more:

The cafe's hoping to expand its opening hours on Salt Lane in the coming months.

They're also starting to hire out their space for evening functions, seating up to 20 people.

The room itself will be free to use, booking a bespoke menu based on the needs of the party.
