Wilton milk vending machine relocated

Published at 3:00pm 2nd September 2019.

The dispenser's now been set up at a more central location in the town.

The Nunton Diary Farm vending machine's been at Bird and Carter at Chilhampton Farm off the A36 for the last year, but it's now been shifted.

Its new home is at the South Street car park in Wilton, next to the Michael Herbert Hall.

WHAT DOES THE VENDING MACHINE DO?

The dispenser gives people a chance to buy pints of milk directly from the dairy that produces it.

The Martin family run Nunton Dairy Farm, with a herd of 800 cows.

The milk's poured into special glass bottles, but you can also reuse those bottles after your first purchase.

It costs £2 for the first bottle and then £1.10 if you reuse it.

The machine's already proving popular:

Nunton Dairy Farm also has another vending machine at the Radnor Arms in Nunton.
