Knitters - Army Flying Museum needs YOU!

Knitters - Army Flying Museum needs YOU!

Published at 7:57am 4th September 2019.

The Middle Wallop attraction is looking for help from crafters to create a spectacular display for this year's Remembrance.

The museum's looking to put together a special exhibit in their Apache Cafe throughout November.

It's hoped that'll be filled with hundreds of knitted, crocheted and paper poppies, strung up on fishing wire.

That's where we come in...

HOW TO MAKE THE POPPIES

The Army Flying Museum's given us the knitting and crochet patterns for us to make our own versions.

Here's the details for knitters:

More than 300 poppies have been gathered by the attraction's outreach team so far.

They're hoping to end up with enough to be able to spread the display out from the Cafe into the main Museum itself too.

Here's how we can involved in crocheting the poppies:

The Museum's also getting out to local community groups to get them involved in the project.
