Salisbury Hospice Charity named as Half Marathon partners

They will be the charity partner for this years race, replacing Tidworth based Help For Heroes.

The event is taking place on the 29th September and is the fourth year that is has been hosted and run by sports management company, Immortal Sport.

The race starts at midday on New Canal and allows runners to pass the Cathedral in between the services, minimising disruption.

It takes place on the same day as the Salisbury Food and Drink Festival, meaning it could be quite a busy day for the city!

Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising for Salisbury Hospice Charity, said: 

"We are delighted to partner with this year's Salisbury Half Marathon and its organisers. It's a fantastic event which will raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice as well as several charitable causes."

The route comprises of 2 laps with very few hills and also allows for friends, family and the residents of Salisbury to get out and support the runners. 

Entries are still open for the Half Marathon.
