The Early Early Christmas Fair held at Tedworth Park was in support of ABF, The Soldiers' Charity.

The event is the biggest local fundraiser for the cause each year, and this time around has raised £35,000.

That money comes in through donations and 10% of all the sales made around the Fair.

More than 2,000 shoppers went along to the two day event, which is now in its 31st year.

Organiser Caroline Cary said:

"I would just like to say thank you to everyone who came and supported this event - to our dedicated volunteers, all the shoppers, stallholders, our two wonderful Chelsea Pensioners and to everyone involved without whom this could never achieve the success it currently enjoys.  In particular, I would like to thank our long term sponsors, General Dynamics and Aspire Defence, whose notable generosity make it all possible."

The support for ABF, The Soldiers' Charity means they can help current serving troops and their families, as well as veterans.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the charity.

With a third of the British Army being based on Salisbury Plain, the cause is likely to see their work increase locally in the coming years.

There's already plans to bring the Early Early Christmas Fair back for 2020.

The event's traditionally held on the last week of September, around three months before the big day.

That means it'll be held on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th September 2020.
