Just Juju has been taking her group on the road in recent years - but is now setting up a more permanent home.

Julie Lindsey set up the business to bring 'entertaining, educational and fun' singing and story sessions to under fives, along with her 'side-kick' Teddy

She's been successfully taking her sessions to places like local pre-schools, Cholderton Charlie's Farm and Salisbury Cathedral.

She's now ready to branch out with new, regular sessions in Salisbury.

Julie says the singing and story groups for under fives are an important development tool:

"The main aim is for children to engage in new and familiar songs in an interactive way, giving them a chance to develop their own self confidence, concentration and listening skills while having a fun time."

NEW SESSIONS FOR JUST JUJU

Off the back of the success of her sessions around South Wiltshire, Just Juju is launching new sessions in Salisbury.

  • SP2 Community Centre, St Pauls roundabout, every Monday from 10.30 to 11.00am
  • St John's Place, Lower Bemerton, every Thursday from 10.30 to 11.00am

The SP2 session launches on Monday November 4th, with the St John's Place group starting from Thursday November 7th.

HOW MUCH ARE THE SESSIONS?

Each group costs £6.00, with a discount for pre-booking.

Julie says the sessions are best suited for 2 to 5 year olds, accompanied by parents and carers, but younger children are also welcome.

For more information about the sessions, you can contact Julie by emailing justjujuandted@gmail.com.

LONGSTANDING BACKGROUND IN CHILDCARE

Julie launched Just Juju following a 35 year career in childcare.

She ran a nursery in Knightsbridge, London for much of that time, before wanting to come back to her home city.

Since her return to Salisbury, Julie spent 12 years at the First Steps Nursery in Brown Street.

But she wanted to branch out to do the thing she loved most about working in nurseries - storytelling and singing sessions!

Just Juju was born - with the name chosen as it's a solo effort and Juju was the name many of the children in nurseries gave her.
