A creative way to support homeless and vulnerable people this Christmas has been launched by Alabaré.

  • The knitting kits are priced at £12 each
  • There are two different colour selections available
  • Proceeds will support Alabaré's work helping homeless people

The Alabaré kits contain everything you need to create your own woolly hat from scratch including three balls of wool, needles and instructions on how to download your knitting pattern.

Money from each sale will go towards work with the homeless and vulnerable, helping them off the streets this winter and in to supported accommodation. It makes the kit the perfect gift for a creative or charity minded loved one this Christmas.

A spot of knitting could do wonders for Salisbury's homeless community

Rachel Houston, Alabaré's Supporter Care Officer said:

"The Knitting for a Change kits are ideal ethical gifts this Christmas. Not only will those purchasing be receiving a fantastic product but they will also be purchasing in the knowledge they will be making a genuine difference to the lives of the most vulnerable in our society this Christmas."

Last year Alabaré supported a total of 1,950 homeless and vulnerable people including at their drop-in centre based in Salisbury city centre.

The kits are available to buy from Alabaré's charity shops, as well as online.
