The public are being urged to get involved with a new display which will open at the museum in the summer.

The Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop want us to make knitted soldiers and airmen for a new "Pilots on Parade" exhibit.

It will be fully on show from early this summer and want as many as possible handed in for a mass showing.

The museum want as many knitted soldiers/airmen, like this one, for a full display in the summer

They say that the more the better and gives keen knitters a chance to showcase their own creations.

It's a similar project to one they ran last year for Remembrance Day, where they encouraged us to knit poppies for a display that went up in November

Anyone interested can create their own or request a copy by emailing outreach@armyflying.com.
