"The beauty of this event is that you can walk for any ward in the hospital and it's so touching to see the reasons why written on people's back signs. It's a beautiful and emotional day, and we are so grateful to everyone who takes part."

TOUCHING REASONS FOR TAKING PART:

Jessica Beaver from Salisbury explained why she's taking part.

"Walking due to the outstanding care the Salisbury NHS foundation trust give to all patients. We have a close relationship with the hospital due to family members being unwell, or under the maternity team. Every department works so hard. So we are grateful and would like to give something back."

Hayley Sandell from Blandford will also be joining hundreds of others on the big day.

"I am walking for Pembroke Suite as both of my parents had chemo treatment there."
