Some branches are offering revised opening hours and one has had to close temporarily.

The Post Office has been explaining how local branches are responding during the coronavirus pandemic.

  • Majority of Post Offices open in the Salisbury area during pandemic
  • Revised opening hours for branches
  • Search continues to re-open a Post Office in central Salisbury

The High Street Salisbury Post Office, near the Cathedral within Hardings At Fifty Six is temporarily closed.

The owner, Nicola Saddler, who is the third generation of Postmasters, made the difficult decision to close because the business includes a tourist and gift shop and footfall was seriously affected by the situation.

There are a number of other Post Offices in the Salisbury area that remain open as Post Offices are designated as an essential retailer by the UK Government.

One of the most popular is the Churchill Way West Post Office inside Waitrose which has been extra busy.

This branch is operating revised hours, closing an hour earlier from Monday to Saturday.

The current hours are Monday to Saturday: 7.30am - 7pm; Sunday: 10am - 4pm.
