"When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month or even your year"....the Learning Support Team at the Downton school will be there for you!

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator Sarah Burley came up with the idea having seen the 'toilet roll challenge on Youtube' where the the loo roll is passed to people without them actually meeting.

Sarah told Spire FM she wanted to put a spin on it and "send some messages of encouragement to our students,"

"We know things are tough and a bit scary at the moment, and we wanted to bring a smile to their faces and let them know we are thinking of them. We hope we achieved that!"

The video features staff outdoors throwing a piece of scrunched up paper to each other with positive messages on like 'keep active' and 'keep smiling.'

It was set to the soundtrack of the Friends TV show by The Rembrandts.

Sarah says everyone was keen to get involved,

"The Learning Support team consists of myself (special educational needs and disabilities coordinator) and 9 teaching assistants, the rest of the team jumped at the idea and  all really threw themselves into it. I am so proud of how dedicated they are to supporting our students."
