Salisbury cub leader crowned Volunteer of the Year

Hamish Davidson has been recognised for his incredible dedication to voluntary work with young people.

Nominated by his sister Molly, Hamish "deserved acknowledgment for the years of voluntary work he's done with the youth of St Francis Church". 

The Salisbury resident has devoted himself to helping the running of the 23rd Salisbury Scout Group.

When the section lost its other leaders, an 18 year old Hamish fought to keep the section open for months while other adults were recruited. 

Due to Hamish's passion for the group, the Cub section is now stronger than ever, and he is an incredibly popular figure with the children.
