Drivers face disruption on yet another road in south Wiltshire this weekend (20th - 21st May).

Part of the A345 between Figheldean and Netheravon is being closed for urgent repairs.

Wiltshire Council say it'll be shut between 7am & 6pm on Saturday (20th) and may possibly remain closed for further work on Sunday (21st).

AFFECTED STRETCH:

A345 (Part) Figheldean and Netheravon; from a point approximately 130m south of its junction with High Street in Figheldean in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 1.8km to a point adjacent to The School of Infantry (see the map below).

DIVERSION:

Alternative route: via A345 (unaffected length) – A303 – A338 – A342 – A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

Wiltshire Council say they're carrying out surface dressing, stud replacement, road markings and associated works.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs and access will be maintained for residents throughout the work.

Traffic around Salisbury was affected earlier this week when similar works were carried out on the busy A3094 Netherhampton Road: www.spirefm.co.uk/news and also on Larkhill Road at Durrington: www.spirefm.co.uk/news
