A new survey shows the Wiltshire monument is on the top 10 list of places we've never been, but would like to visit.

A new survey of the country's 'hidden gems' has been released - with Stonehenge on the top 10 list of places many people have never been to, but would like to visit.

The study found a fifth of Brits have admitted they've not visited or explored it because they're 'not adventurous' enough. That's despite it being on the doorstep.

Other places that featured in the top 10 included the Scottish Highlands, Cornwall, Brighton, Bath and Edinburgh and The Lake District.

According to the survey, almost 1-in-10 people say they never try new places.

But don't panic, Wiltshire and Hampshire are not the least adventurous counties. East Anglia is, with more than 1-in-3 people there not wanting to visit anywhere or try discovering something new.

When it comes to what puts people off discovering new places, the majority said ease of access, or they just like to go to the same place every time on holiday.
