The 35 strong team of adventurers which took on the Inca Trail in Peru last month have presented the Salisbury District Hospital charity with a cheque for a staggering £101,303.

The amount surpasses the £80k they thought they'd raise tackling the trail to reach the iconic Macchu Picchu which is 2,430 metres above sea level

The trek was led by Spire FM's Martin Starke, he says he was "close to tears" when the total amount was revealed.
