A popular soft play centre on Salisbury Plain is set to close at the end of the year, with the owner saying the decision's been made with 'great sadness'.

Larkhill Space Station, on the Packway (pictured here), has announced that they'll be shutting on December 23rd.

Helen Culwick has posted on social media to say the closure is due to cost of rates and rents, as well as wanting more free time.

It was hoped that the business could be sold off and kept open, but that's fallen through - meaning the closure will go ahead.

The Space Station opened 5 years ago on the site of the former Londis shop.

Here's the social media post from Helen:

As she mentioned there, any childrens' parties booked up until the closure date will be honoured.

The news of the business shutting has caused a stir on social media, with plenty of supporters saying how sad they'll be to see the Space Station go.
