Blue light services called to assist one 'very heavy' patient at a property on Riverdown Park.

Two ambulances, along with two rapid response vehicles and the air ambulance were called to Riverdown Park in Salisbury this morning (Monday 8th January).

A fire engine from the city was also called to the scene in Saunders Avenue just after 9.30am.

It's understood a bariatric patient- that's one that's over 25 stone - had suffered a medical episode.

Firefighters were needed to assist with getting the patient, believed to a woman, out.

The air ambulance was also called out and landed on the green on Bishopdown Farm.

No further details have been released by South Western Ambulance about the incident.
