In it's 15th year, the Local Hero Awards (sponsored by the Storage Factory) yet again recognised those unsung heroes around South Wiltshire and West Hampshire.

The judges faced a tough challenge of sifting through the nominations to pick the 11 worthy winners out of hundreds of entries.

The awards recognised the life-savers, selfless volunteers, fearless youngsters, inspirational teachers, devoted parents and unsung people who make a real difference. Each of them is a truly extraordinary person. They are the reason why this area is such a special place to live.

It took place at The Stones Hotel at the Highpost and was hosted by Spire FM's Martin Starke and Henrietta Creasey.
