Major incident at Salisbury District Hospital

- Small number of casaulties
- Fire-fighters called to decontaminate the area.
A major incident has been declared at Salisbury District Hospital today. ( 5th March)
A spokesperson for the NHS Trust has told Spire FM "there are a small number of casualties"
No ages or further details have been released but the victims are "mainly members of the public."
@SalisburyNHS is currently dealing with a major incident involving a small number of casualties, with a multi-agency response. We are not asking additional staff to come to site unless contacted directly.

Fire-fighters from the city's station were called to decontaminate the area and a green tent has been erected outside the front of the Accident and Emergency department.
Two ambulance vehicles marked "incident response unit" are also in attendance,
Cordon in place around A&E department along with two specialist ambulances
