Police and military activity in Durrington

Larkhill road incident in Durrington March 2018

Two tents have been erected on Larkhill Road.

A road in Durrington has been cordoned off by police.

The military along with fire fighters are also on the scene in Larkhill Road.

A spokesperson for the MOD has told Spire FM that the military have been called in to assist the Counter Terrorism Police Network to help remove objects and vehicles.

Army Loaders have also been seen close to the cordon.

Police are thought to be preparing to remove a car which is thought Yulia Skripal was picked up in from airport.

Two tents has been erected close to a car servicing and repair garage.

The road has been closed from the Esso Garage to the A345 roundabout with a cordon in place between Meads Road and Philip Road.

The Met Police aren't commenting on whether it's connected to the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

Last week the Counter Terrorism Chief Neil Basu stressed:

"The number of scenes and locations are likely to change.

"This is nothing for the public to be alarmed about but is necessary as part of the wider investigation."
