A much loved Amesbury shop has ceased trading after almost 4 decades in business.

Amesbury Pet Stores closed on Saturday April 21st having been in the town for 39 years.

It opened on July 16th 1979 on Salisbury Road.

Owner Sue Osment joined Amesbury Pet Stores as a sales assistant whilst the business was still in its infancy.

She then became manager and eventually a company director of the Amesbury and Salisbury stores.
