Elderly woman remains in hospital after Salisbury bike fall

An 84 year old lady came off her bike on Avon Approach Road.

An elderly woman who fell off her bike in the entrance to a Salisbury car park remains in hospital after the accident.

The 84 year old lost control of her Ridgeback back while riding along Avon Approach Road towards  Central Car Park yesterday afternoon (Monday April 23rd), just before 1.30pm.

She suffered hip, pelvis and shoulder injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital, where she's been kept in.

Police closed the road for a time while the lady was given treatment, keeping the entrance road to the car park shut for around four hours.

Officers are now asking any witnesses to the fall to come forward, so they can piece together what happened.
