3 year old Fordingbridge girl died of drowning

Bethan Colebourn died last October - her mother now faces a murder charge.

It's been confirmed today (Tuesday April 24th) that a three year old Fordingbridge girl who died six months ago had drowned.

Hampshire Police were called to a house in Whitsbury Road in the town on October 19th 2017 after a report of a concern for Bethan Colebourn's welfare.

The little girl was taken to Salisbury District Hospital but sadly, couldn't be saved.

Tests have now confirmed that the cause of Bethan's death was drowning.

MURDER CHARGE:

Bethan's mother Claire Colebourn, who's 36 and lives in Sandford Road, Littlemoor, Oxford, has been charged with murder.

She has been remanded in custody and will go to Winchester Crown Court on the 26th July for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
