A major incident's been declared after a man and woman fell ill - here's where we know is closed so far.

A number of places in Salisbury and Amesbury have been cordoned off this morning (Wednesday July 4th) as a major incident's been launched by Wiltshire Police.

A man and a woman, both in their 40s, are in a critical condition at Salisbury District Hospital after being exposed to an unknown substance.

There's a police presence at a property in Muggleton Road in Amesbury, where the pair were found unwell on Saturday evening (June 30th).

Now, as a precaution, other sites that they are thought to have been too are also sealed off.

Police tape stretches right around the perimeter of the site, with officers on guard.

A number of squad cars are stationed at Crane Street car park while they're on the scene too.

The Harcourt Medical Centre is currently open for any appointments, with access through the staff car park.

The Town Path from Harnham is also closed to the public for the time being, with officers taping off the route close to the Old Mill pub.

A number of police cars are also outside the centre on Butterfield Drive in the town.

That's been sealed off as police try to contain areas that the critically ill man and woman may have been to in the run-up to being affected by the unknown substance.Amesbury Baptist Church Cordon July 2018

At this stage, it's not known how long the cordons will be in place for.

Police have also arrived at the Boots store on The Centre in Amesbury this morning.

There's also a small cordon set up on the corner of Rollestone Street and Salt Lane in Salisbury.

That's centred around a bin outside the John Baker House property.
