Teenage girl struck by car on busy Salisbury road

The 14 year old was lucky not to be seriously injured in a collision on Devizes Road.

Wiltshire Police tell us the girl was crossing the road, near to the mini roundabout for Highbury Road, on Monday morning (July 16th) at around 7.20am.

She fell to the ground, but wasn't hurt, as the car was travelling slowly.

A doctor's check up confirmed she didn't need any treatment.

WITNESS APPEAL:

Police are now keen to speak to the driver of the car involved.

PC Tom Giles said:

"The male driver of the car did stop briefly to speak to the girl, but did not leave any contact details and left the scene shortly afterwards.

"We need to speak this driver, so are appealing for either the man himself, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch."
