Salisbury Motorcycle & Light Car Club members are welcoming their counterparts from Xanten in Germany this weekend.

The invitation's been sent out to the German group in the wake of the nerve agent incidents locally over the last five months.

The aim is to show some solidarity between the twin cities and give the continental Europeans a chance to see what South Wiltshire has to offer.

The group arrived on Thursday (August 16th), with visits planned around the local area throughout their stay.

Among the places they're going to are:

  • Stonehenge
  • Old Sarum
  • New Forest
  • Sammy Miller's motorcycle museum
  • Salisbury Cathedral
  • Woodford Valley

Salisbury Motorcycle & Light Car Club visited Xanten for a similar visit last year and will be riding out in force across the weekend.

They'll be travelling back home on Monday (August 20th).
