Police close A36 at Landford

It followed an accident near to the Landford Poacher in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 11th September).

The road had to be closed between the A27 at Whiteparish and  West Wellow services at Ower.

The crash happened at around 1.00am this morning (Tuesday September 11th) in the direction of Salisbury.

One vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, was involved in the crash.

A 25 year old woman, who was driving the car, and a 21 year old male passenger have been taken to Southampton General Hospital.

We're told the pair have 'potentially life-changing injuries'.

Wiltshire Police has now confirmed that the road has opened (as of 7.30am).

Wiltshire Police tell us the car struck a tree, but the reason why the car left the road is 'unknown' at this stage.
