The 30 year old has told The Sun newspaper she found her husband collapsed in the toilets at Prezzo "foaming at the mouth."

Anna Shapiro says her husband Alex King became violently ill on Sunday night (16th September).

The "exclusive" has appeared on the front page of The Sun.

The 30 year old, who says her father was a general in the Russian army, believes she was targeted by Putin.

"I was targeted by Putin's henchmen. They want me dead as I oppose Putin and have turned by back on the country."

Last night Wiltshire Police said scientific tests confirmed the pair were not exposed to any kind of nerve agent and the couple's illness is not being linked to the recent poisonings in Salisbury and Amesbury.

Enquiries into what caused the pair to become unwell are still ongoing.

Miss Shapiro says her husband remains in Salisbury District Hospital, she discharged herself on Monday.

In a statement from Prezzo this afternoon (Monday September 19th), the company's confirmed that rat poison was not used during the incident - they've said:

"Responding to a report published by The Sun, we wish to confirm that the chemical ‘strychnine’ is not used in Prezzo in Salisbury.  This has been verified through independent technical support.

"We have been informed that Wiltshire police are not linking the event on Sunday evening to the recent nerve agent poisonings in Salisbury and Amesbury and have made no suggestion that the illness was a result of anything present in our restaurant. Based on the information we have received, this is an isolated incident."
