She's been meeting with families and staff at Wiltshire's children's hospice, hinting that she could soon do more for the charity.

Sarah Ferguson spent some time with the youngsters who have life-limiting conditions, as well as their siblings and parents at the site in Devizes today (Tuesday October 30th).

The visit coincided with the charity's Housemates sessions, which give families a chance to meet up, have some respite and for the children to get involved in activities.

Martin Edwards is the Chief Executive of Julia's House and explains how the visit came about:

The Duchess also spent time with the children decorating cakes and read them one of her own stories - Budgie the Little Helicopter.

Some of the parents there for the session got a chance to talk to Sarah about the difficulties they face and how the children's hospice has become a place where they can really belong.

MORE SUPPORT FOR JULIA'S HOUSE FROM THE DUCHESS OF YORK?

During the visit, Spire FM asked Sarah if she would be supporting the children's hospice charity into the future - she replied:

"Well, poor Julia's House, if they don't mind! I think to write a book about Julia's House, that could be the next thing."

She then discussed the idea with the charity and the families there, suggesting it could be themed around the Julia's House bear logo, with the children she met today being featured as characters.
