Lyndsey Harvey had her John Lewis bowl taken on the spooky night, and Twitter users were HOOKED by the tale.

Many of us put out bowls of sweets for Halloween for the trick or treaters to take a handful of in Salisbury.

Unfortunately for Lyndsey, she had more than just sweets taken!

Writing on Twitter, Lyndsey said;

"If anyone in Salisbury had a child return home from trick or treating with a BEAUTIFUL JOHN LEWIS SALAD BOWL, that is mine and I want it back. "Help yourself to a treat" did not mean help yourself to my kitchenware. Halloween is the worst."

After posting her appeal on Twitter, Lyndsey was inundated with messages about her beloved bowl...even from John Lewis & Partners!

Once the silly replies had sort of stopped coming in, John Lewis & Partners got in contact with Lyndsey and invited her to Waitrose in Salisbury to give her a new bowl to replace the one stolen.
